100/365... Lame picture, fabulous day joy

There was local resale that had great deals on children's clothes. When hubby handed me this $100 bill, the first thing I thought of was "this is PERFECT for the 100th day of the year!".

In other news... I went on a wonderful date with my hubby.. just the two of us. We talked, laughed, and held hands. He even took me to a camera shop to let me hold my dream camera. Then he insisted on picking up a cake mix to have the kids help him make a birthday cake for me. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday eve.

So, yes, the picture is lame but the day was fabulous.

We were playing peek-a-boo and she was laughing hysterically with pure joy in her eyes. Not surprisingly, the laughter stopped when I pulled out the camera.

But the the pure joy remained in her eyes.

They hate wearing socks. I put them on, they take them off.

I don't mind at all. I could kiss them all day.

We had a strong storm last night. This must have happened during the few minutes that I did sleep.

I have some sad kiddos here today. They all had different but similar reactions when they saw what happened to their playset.

#4 pointed to it and said "ouch".
#3 said "ack".
#2 said "Swings fall down. Daddy fix"
#1 through tears said "Mommy, can Daddy fix my playset?"

Yes, my dear children, it is "ouch" and "ack". And yes, it's a good thing you have such a handy daddy who can fix anything.

They have been gathering their "tools" to help their daddy rebuild.

My joy? It's fixable and, more importantly, no one was hurt.

Daddy can fix it joy.

I received the best Easter gift today. All four of my babies sat still for this photo. None of them are looking at the camera and smiling at me BUT, to tell you the truth, I adore this image more than if they were each giving me a cheesy, fake smile.

This image captures their individual personalities perfectly and beautifully.
