183/365... Big ol' shed fire joy
We were driving home when hubby got a call that there was a structure fire. After dropping hubby off at the fire station to jump on a truck, I decided to follow the fire truck... with the kids in tow.
We saw the smoke and fire from miles away. I always say a prayer for safety for all when there is a fire call but when I saw the flames, it took my breath away.
Much to my surprise, hubby got home shortly after we did. I was expecting him to be gone all night.
Little did I know that this fire was an old, large shed that needed to come down.
How very thankful I am that it wasn't a residence and that everyone was safe.
Old, large shed fire joy.
In other news... I submitted a photo for Pioneer Woman's "America" assignment. It was chosen for "Group 5"!!!!! Tomorrow she will announce the finalist. I feel as though I have already won! YIPPEE!!!!
I can't NOT have this be a joy as well...

Congratulations again on your PW success! I was surprised and disappointed this morning when I saw it wasn't chosen as a finalist. This fire shot is great - love the intensity of the dark blue sky against the flames.
Congrats on the PW!! That is such an honor!! Off to check out your photo!
