131/365... Building blocks joy.

For his 15-month check up, the doctor asked if he could stack two blocks on top of one another.

I'm fairly certain that is a skill he has mastered.

Building blocks joy.

130/365... First I love yous joy

Big brother was at school. Little brothers were napping. It was just her and I.

Her: Momma, let's do stickers and scissors.
Me: OK. What stickers do you want?
Her: Hearts with pink paper.
Me: Good choice, baby girl.
Her: Mommy?
Me: What's up, sweet girl?
Her: I love you.
Me: I love you, too. More than words...

She told me "I love you" for the first time last Friday. Since then she has told me that she loves me several more times. I know that she means it with her whole heart every time.

First I love yous joy.

129/365... Mother's Day joy

Mother's Day... one of my favorite days of the year.

Breakfast with mom. A special visit with my sister. A family walk. Brunch with my hubby's side of the family. Grilled dinner with my side of the family.

Carter, Regan, Grant, and Jackson,
There are no words to express what my heart feels for each of you. Each of you are such a blessing in my life. You bring me pure joy every single day. I am proud and honored to be your mommy.
Love, Your Mommy

Mom,
I can only hope and pray to be the mom to my children that you have been and continue to be to me. I am proud and honored to be your daughter.
Love, Your Daughter

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day joy.

And one of my favorites from the day...

She adores her grandpa. And he adores her.

My dear father-in-law loves each of his grandchildren as if they were the only one.

128/365... Clingin' and chillin' with daddy joy.

My little man has had a little runny nose lately. He just wanted to cling and chill with daddy today.

Daddy didn't seem to mind at all.

126/365... Dandelions are flowers joy.

Whoever decided that dandelions are weeds?

We spend so much time and money trying to eliminate our yard of them. Yet they bring such joy to children. Not to mention they make for great photo opportunities.

I would have a yard filled with them if they weren't classified as a weed.

Dandelions are flowers joy.

125/365... Coming together joy

Last night a local family went out for dinner. While they were eating, his fire pager went off. A house "fully engulfed". His address.

Our fire department and several surrounding fire departments worked for hours to save their home.

When I went by their home today, I wasn't fully prepared for what I would see. Their belongings. Gone. Their home. Gone.

My joy?

The family is safe and unharmed. The firefighters are safe and unharmed.

The word of this tragedy spread rapidly. Donations are being made. Fundraisers are in place. Prayers are being said. The community has come together quickly to make sure that the family's needs are met.
