283/365... Day 3 in the Northwoods of Wisconsin joy
Day 3 began with watching a plane land on the lake. The pilot built the plane himself.
Then we went Geocaching. This was our family's first time and I think that it is something that we would enjoy as the kids get older.
My oldest was so proud that he was the one to find the cache. It was pretty exciting for all of us.
Here is the journal entry from our group. It was while writing this that we realized that we were there on 10-10-10 and there were 10 of us! Weird!
We did consider leaving one of the twins but decided against it.
Can you guess which twin was going to be left behind??
After finding the cache, we took some time to enjoy our surroundings. We had read that this was once the location of a high-end resort that Bing Crosby and the like used to vacation.
After Geocaching, we spent the afternoon at the Eagle River Children's Museum. The kids played, explored, and drank water from the mini cranberry bog. (And I wonder why my kids always have boogies! Duh!)
It was a wonderful time...
... had by all!
